Banks: Closed, as are New York Stock Exchange markets, on Nov. 24 (www.nyse.com/markets/hours-calendars). Some monetary markets shut early on Nov. 25.
Transit: Buses and subway providers in Los Angeles run on a Sunday/vacation schedule on Nov. 24 (www.metro.net/riding/schedules; www.metro.net). Metrolink trains function on a Saturday schedule on Nov. 24-25 on the Ventura County, Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley and Inland Empire-Orange County traces (no service on the Riverside Line; metrolinktrains.com/schedules/thanksgiving-day; www.metrolinktrains.com).
Trash: Pickup is postponed by in the future in Los Angeles starting with Nov. 24 trash (picked up on Nov. 25) and Nov. 25 trash (picked up on Nov. 26).
