Watch videos of Hurricane Ian’s surge in Southwest Florida

Many have evacuated and others are bunkering down on the southwest coast of Florida as Hurricane Ian made landfall Wednesday afternoon as a devastating Category 4 storm.

Flooding has already begun in southwest Florida and a few houses have been closely broken with pool covers being destroyed, shingles torn away from the roofs, and extra because the storm strikes inward, videos on social media present.

The huge storm tore by way of Cuba, wiping out the nation’s electrical grid and killing two folks, in accordance with The Associated Press. It’s anticipated to convey heavy harm and flooding to southwest Florida.

As the hurricane edged its approach to the Florida coast in the previous couple of days, Ian grew in a single day Tuesday with winds reaching 155 mph, the National Hurricane Center studies.

Cape Coral, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Naples, and lots of different cities are seeing the results of the hurricane.
