Walk through Flowers of the Forest at San Antonio’s Lightscape this holiday season

SAN ANTONIO – You can mild up your holiday season with kinetic hues and flowers of the forest — two new immersive installations that will likely be at the Lightscape holiday mild show at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.

Lightscape will return to San Antonio for the second year from Nov. 11 through Jan. 8, 2023.

The one-mile strolling path will likely be illuminated with a whole bunch of 1000’s of lights and varied artwork shows.

There will even be holiday music enjoying all through the gardens.

More than 80% of this year’s path will characteristic installations that haven’t been seen in San Antonio.

Some of these installations embody Kinetic Hues and Flowers of the Forest.

Kinetic Hues, from Australian artist Mandylights, is an immersive set up produced from 12 saturated pillars of mild whose up-and-down actions create a collection of shadows that transfer, morph and consistently change, based on a press launch.

Officials with the Botanical Garden stated the widespread towering cathedral arch tunnel with 100,000 lights will return, together with reimagined installations. There will likely be a hearth backyard and a “more spectacular” show of bluebonnets, which is an set up distinctive to Texas.

“Last year, Lightscape gave the San Antonio community the perfect opportunity to celebrate the season with friends and family,” stated Sabina Carr, Chief Executive Officer, San Antonio Botanical Garden. “This year, guests will be delighted by a brand-new experience as the Garden is once again transformed into an immersive oasis of light, color, and sound.”

Holiday-themed meals and drinks and s’mores will likely be accessible for buy.

Tickets for Lightscape could be bought on-line. Entry occasions can be found each Quarter-hour from 5:30 – 9 p.m and most visitors end the path in 90 minutes.

Prices for Lightscape differ relying on the date and time chosen. SABOT.org lists the following costs for Lightscape:

All tickets are topic to a $3 comfort price. San Antonio Botanical Garden Members will obtain a $2 low cost per ticket.
