VA reports no rodent activity at its community center in past eight days

Three weeks after rats have been discovered residing in the ceilings and partitions of the Community Living Center, a Veterans Affairs nursing dwelling, Interim Medical Center Director Michael Welsh introduced in an announcement to the press Friday morning that there was no signal of rodent activity for eight days. 

The preliminary discovery got here after an worker reported a broken ceiling tile on the primary ground of the constructing July 22, which on nearer inspection proved to be because of rodent activity, mentioned Welsh. He mentioned employees inspected the primary and second flooring of the constructing and located extra proof of rodent activity. 

“As is common in this part of Arizona, we believe the rodents probably entered the building to escape the recent flooding caused by the monsoon season,” Welsh mentioned.
