Phoenix, Mesa commit to Biden plan to address homelessness

President Joe Biden’s administration introduced a brand new, aggressive initiative to address homelessness in America, and two Arizona cities have already got signed on.

The House America initiative encourages mayors, county leaders, tribal leaders and governors to commit funds they’ve obtained by way of the American Rescue Plan Act to rehouse folks experiencing homelessness and enhance the availability of reasonably priced housing. 

“Homelessness has no place in this administration’s vision for this country,” U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge mentioned in a launch occasion Monday.
