Top NFL Coaches of All Time about Whom You Should Definitely Know
American football has been one of the most beloved sports games that are played in the US. It is however not only the hard work, tons of labour and the practice sessions that the young NFL players put in day in and day out, not only the adoration of the fans who cheer from the stalls, but also most definitely the strategies and the work put in by the coaches of the teams that eventually leads to massive victories for the teams involved in the NFL Leagues.
But, just like there are top players, those who play just a tad bit better than the others and rise up to become legends in the Hall of Fame, there are NFL coaches as well who have reached that same position in the world of the NFL and American Football.
And for anyone looking for sportsbook lists, the best ones are at Meta.reviews.
The following is a list of all those NFL coaches who have quite surely been able to make legends out of their careers:
- Bill Belichick: This man has accomplishments that would send a shiver down an NFL fan’s spine, if we are being honest. He started off with Cleveland and worked as a coach there from 1991-1995 and then switched teams to go to New England where he has been a constant source of support since 2000 (that is quite a long time, actually!). Belichick has a 31-12 in playoffs, 17 division titles and 9 Super Bowl Appearances to boot. He has also been able to lead his team to become champions at the Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX, LI, LIII. In an age made for parity, Belichick has led his Patriots to be one of the most dominant players on the field right now. With 11 more playoffs than any of the other coaches right now, Belichick is one coach to look out for, whether you like or hate him;
- Vince Lombardi: He started off with Green Bay where he worked as a coach from 1959 right up to 1967. Then he took a sabbatical for a year and landed in Washington where he was a coach for just one year in 1969. But, all this notwithstanding, Vince Lombardi is a legend to reckon with when it comes to the NFL. With 9-1 playoffs to boot, 6 division titles, participation in 3 NFL Championships and wins at the Super Bowls I and II, Vince Lombardi won 5 championships in just nine seasons with the Packers and if his life had not been woefully cut short by colon cancer, he might have been able to win bigger and better;
- Don Shula: Every NFL fan knows Don Shula. Come on! He is the only coach in NFL history to have commandeered a perfect NFL season and coached in six Super Bowls. His achievements are also high up on the ladder. Having coached for both the Baltimore Colts and Miami, Shula has accrued 19-17 in playoffs, won 16 division titles, made 6 Super Bowl appearances and led his team to victories in Super Bowls VII and VIII.
There you go! Don’t you feel like a learned NFL fan now?
