LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — In a dramatic surveillance video, the owner of an area smoke shop seems to defend himself with a pointy object from three would-be robbers – recognized solely as juveniles – after one in all them jumped the counter.
This occurred on the Smokestrom Smoke Shop on West Sahara close to Decatur on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
In the video, two juveniles are seen getting into the smoke shop sporting masks. The owner is heard asking “Why are you guys wearing masks like that?” When the juveniles don’t reply, Nguyen is heard asking them “to just leave.”
One of the juveniles is seen grabbing what seems to be a mug off the counter by the money register and strolling towards the door. Nguyen is heard telling the juvenile that he may take it however to please “leave the coins.”
The juvenile is seen reaching over the case and grabbing one thing else, turning, and operating out the door.
The different juvenile is seen leaping over the glass case, at which level Nguyen, who will be seen in the video grabbing a pointy object from subsequent to the register, runs at him and apparently stabs him at the very least seven times.
The masked juvenile who was stabbed will be heard screaming “I’m dead, I’m dead” earlier than collapsing to the ground.
Nguyen is then seen dropping the masked juvenile close to the entrance door and calling 911. The juvenile who was stabbed will be heard asking the owner “don’t let me die.”
Police have arrested the juveniles who’re seen apparently attempting to rob the shop and the one that was stabbed was taken to the hospital.
