[Gracie] is 8 years old, and she puts things into perspective. I have to basically watch this little person grow into a human being, and there’s no better feeling in the world. I kind of feel like a parent, in a way, even though I’m not. But it’s so rewarding to see that life was so simple at one point, and I want to enjoy life, sometimes, the way she enjoys life.”
The star additionally babysat Jessica Simpson’s 10-year-old daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson, not too long ago. During their time collectively, Gomez took Johnson to her first live performance: Olivia Rodrigo. Has there ever been a cooler babysitter?

Do you want a blanket?’ Just very sweet things, and I was like, ‘I’m fine. I don’t need any of it.’ But it was just so kind, and I don’t feel like a lot of people are like that anymore.”
