San Diego Board of Supervisors District 4 election results

Fletcher, a Democrat, at the moment serves as chairman of the Board of Supervisors.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — Democratic County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher will advance to a November runoff election in his bid to keep up the District 4 seat, and he’ll face off towards Republican challenger Amy Reichert, who completed a distant second behind Fletcher in Tuesday’s main election.

The pair simply topped the three-candidate area within the race, far outdistancing challenger Sidiqua Hooker.

Fletcher, a Democrat, was first elected in 2018 to the District 4 seat.

Fletcher serves as chairman of the Board of Supervisors, in addition to chairman of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System and vice chairman of the Regional Task Force on the Homeless. He was endorsed by Gov. Gavin Newsom, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria and the San Diego County Democratic Party, amongst others.

Reichert is the co-founder of ReOpen San Diego, a group group that sought to reopen faculties and companies shuttered to stem the unfold of COVID-19 and railed towards vaccine and masks mandates.

On her marketing campaign web site, Reichert says Fletcher (*4*) throughout the pandemic. Her endorsements included the state and county Republican events, El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells, Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey and former Assemblyman Steve Baldwin.

District 4 covers round 100 sq. miles, a lot of which is positioned within the central portion of San Diego, in addition to elements of East San Diego County.
