Residents in Bandera, Gillespie counties experiencing power outages during freezing weather

SAN ANTONIO – Hundreds of residents in Bandera and Gillespie counties are experiencing power outages on Friday morning amid freezing temperatures.

In a tweet simply earlier than 2:30 a.m., the Bandera Electric Cooperative stated the utility can have rolling outages in Bandera, Pipe Creek and Wharton’s Dock “due to the high energy demand and to maintain the integrity of our electric grid.”
