Power outage affects thousands in several communities in San Diego

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — Power is out for greater than 50 thousand San Diego Gas and Electric clients who skilled an influence outage Tuesday morning resulting from an unplanned energy outage, based on SDG&E’s website.

According to the San Diego Gas & Electric web site, quite a few energy outages are being reported in varied San Diego communities, together with City Heights, Golden Hill, East State College, Kensington, Lemon Grove, La Mesa, Oak Park, Rancho San Diego, Rolando and Skyline, affecting thousands of consumers. 

The outage was first reported at 9:47 a.m., and no trigger has been decided. SDGE estimates that energy can be restored at 12:30 or 3:30 p.m., relying on the neighborhood. For the newest updates, examine the SDG&E outage map.

San Diego State University is reporting a partial outage on the campus’ west facet. According to SDSU, SDG&E estimates that energy can be restored by 12:30 p.m. The college’s services providers division is investigating what prompted the outage.
