Police searching for man wanted in attempted rape in Brooklyn

NEW YORK — The hunt is on for a man who the NYPD says attempted to rape a lady strolling her canine in Brooklyn on Saturday morning.

Police have launched disturbing video of the assault, CBS2’s Lisa Rozner reported Sunday.

The incident occurred at round 8:30 a.m. Video reveals the 30-year-old girl strolling together with her small canine in the neighborhood of Woodbine Street and Ridgewood Place in Bushwick when impulsively the suspect comes up from behind.

Police stated the suspect positioned the sufferer in a chokehold and compelled her to the bottom, including he continued to strangle her and assault her over her clothes earlier than operating away eastbound on Woodbine Street.

“This is usually a safe neighborhood, but that’s ridiculous. The last few months it has been getting really bad around here,” Bushwick resident Shane Williams stated. “I usually walk my dog on the same block, too, so it’s really sad.”

“It’s putting us on alert now,” Bushwick resident Hector Leguillow stated.

“I don’t go outside. I stay home all time,” a lady added.

Police stated the suspect is round 30 years previous, 5-foot-8, with a medium build, dreadlocks, a mustache and chin hair. He was final seen carrying a black baseball hat with a rose design on the entrance.

The sufferer did have accidents to her neck and face and was later handled at Interfaith Medical Center.

“I hope that woman is well and that she really finds the person who did that,” stated Bushwick resident Jade Miranda.

“We’re in shock something like that happens because everybody is pretty close in this neighborhood,” Leguillow stated. “When my wife goes to work I have to … I walk her to work because she works on the weekends, because it’s very scary.”
