Plane catches fire during take-off from Delhi Airport: Video

A video posted to social media reveals the scary second an IndiGo plane’s engine caught fire whereas making an attempt to take off from India’s Delhi Airport.

The passenger aircraft – which has since been grounded – was rushing alongside the runway when orange flames and sparks burst out of the facet. 

According to AFP, passengers additionally heard a loud bang.

One of the passengers touring to Bengaluru, Priyanka Kumar, posted a clip of the incident on Twitter which confirmed the fire going out inside moments. 

“Indigo 6E 2131 Scary experience on Delhi runway!” she tweeted. “This was supposed to be a take-off video but this happened.”

In replies to the submit on Twitter, the airline mentioned it regretted the inconvenience brought on to passengers. 

“The flight experienced an engine stall during take-off roll. The take-off was aborted and the aircraft safely returned to the bay,” IndiGo wrote. “We understand that all passengers are being accommodated on an alternate aircraft.”

FOX Business’ requests for remark from IndiGo and the Delhi Police weren’t instantly returned.

According to NDTV, the Deli Police mentioned that each one 184 people on the Airbus A-320 aircraft are secure and that the incident passed off at round 9:45 p.m. native time. 

The passengers reportedly deplaned after 11 p.m. and the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s preliminary report mentioned that the pilot had used the fire extinguisher within the engine.

AFP reported {that a} detailed investigation could be carried out and that the various flight took off at 12:16 a.m. on Saturday.
