A Valley mother was sentenced Friday for killing her two young daughters final year by giving them prescribed drugs. 

Retta Cruse, 36, will spend the remainder of her life in jail after pleading responsible to 2 counts of first-degree homicide, in keeping with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. 

Cruse was arrested final September after her two daughters, ages 4 and 9, had been discovered deceased within the household’s Phoenix condominium.
