Medical examiner IDs driver killed in early-morning crash with 18-wheeler

The Bexar County Medical Examiner has recognized a person who was killed in a crash involving an 18-wheeler late final week.

Juan Leija, 44, died from a number of blunt pressure accidents he sustained in the crash, in response to the ME.

The crash occurred round 2:20 a.m., Friday, on North Weidner Road close to Crosswinds Way, on town’s Northeast Side.

Police mentioned the driver of the 18-wheeler was unhurt and no prison costs are pending.

A male driver of a sedan is lifeless following a crash into an 18-wheeler early Friday morning, San Antonio police mentioned.

The crash occurred round 2:20 a.m. on North Weidner Road close to Crosswinds Way, not removed from Wurzbach Parkway and Interstate 35 on town’s Northeast Side.

According to police, the sedan was touring westbound on the I-35 entry highway when an 18-wheeler touring northbound on Weidner approached the intersection. That’s when, police say, because the 18-wheeler was going by means of the intersection with a inexperienced mild, the sedan crashed into the large rig.

Police mentioned there have been no indicators of the automotive breaking previous to the collision. The driver of the sedan suffered main accidents and was taken by EMS to Brooke Army Medical Center, the place he later died.
