Max Rose accuses rival DeBarros of planting ‘Trump’ lawn signs

Former Democratic Rep. Max Rose accused his main opponent, democratic socialist Brittany Ramos DeBarros, of planting photos of former President Donald Trump on his lawn signs.

“I guess she wanted to promote that I was one of the most bi-partisan members of Congress,” stated Rose, dripping with sarcasm.

Trump carried the eleventh Congressional District — which incorporates Staten Island and southern Brooklyn — over Democrat President Joe Biden within the 2020 election.

The DeBarros marketing campaign Tuesday insisted it had nothing to do with photos of Trump ending up on Rose lawn signs.

However, DeBarros stated Rose’s cheerleading for Trump is plain.

“Bipartisan is when you join with other legislators to pass important legislation. Max Rose’s definition of bipartisan is selling out his party and supporting Donald Trump during the presidential election to help his career. That’s why he lost,” DeBarros stated in a press release Tuesday.

Both Rose and DeBarros are navy veterans.

Rose is backed by the Democratic Party institution and metropolis Comptroller Brad Lander.

DeBarros has drawn help from the progressive left wing, together with the Working Families Party, Our Revolution, and metropolis Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, amongst others.

The polls for Tuesday’s congressional main are open till 9 p.m.
