Man shot in face outside banquet hall among 6 hurt in latest NYC shootings

A person was shot in the face and one other in the shoulder outside a Queens banquet hall – two of at the very least six folks hurt in a slew of citywide shootings in a single day, authorities stated. 

The males had been blasted in the doorway of the Starz Banquet Hall on Merrick Boulevard close to 231st Street in Laurelton throughout a heated battle round 5 a.m. Monday, cops stated. 

A 25-year-old man was shot in the face and a 34-year-old man struck in the shoulder, police stated. 

The youthful man was taken to Jamaica University Hospital Medical Center, and the older sufferer went to Mount Sinai South Nassau, each in secure situation, authorities stated. 

They weren’t recognized to one another, police stated.

Hours earlier, round 8 p.m. Sunday, a 20-year-old man was blasted in the leg and a 32-year-old man in the arm on Beach Channel Drive close to Beach 81st Street in Far Rockaway, Queens, cops stated.

The youthful man was taken to Jamaica and the older man to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, each in secure situation, police stated. 

The motive for the gunplay was not instantly recognized. 

Nine shell casings had been recovered on the scene.

Earlier in the night, round 6:30 p.m., one other 20-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and a 21-year-old male sufferer grazed in the face at East 149th Street and Jackson Avenue in the Mott Haven part of The Bronx.

The youthful man was taken to Lincoln Medical Center in secure situation, cops stated. 

The different wounded man refused medical consideration for his graze wound.

The suspect fled on a moped, and police discovered 10 shell casings on the scene. 

The motive is unclear. 

No arrests have been made in any of the instances.
