Man Arrested In Series Of East County School Burglaries

PINE VALLEY, CA — A person was arrested Wednesday in reference to a sequence of faculty burglaries in San Diego’s East County.

There have been a number of break-ins and thefts from faculties in Alpine, Lakeside and Santee, in keeping with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. Computers and digital tablets had been stolen from the campuses.

Adam Megill, 18, was taken into custody in reference to the burglaries throughout a search of his dwelling within the 7700 block of Calle De La Estrella in Pine Valley, sheriff’s Sgt. John West stated.

“Several stolen items and multiple items of evidence” had been recovered in the course of the search of Megill’s dwelling, West stated.

“The suspect used a powder actuated nail gun to break windows and gain entry to the schools in most of the burglaries,” West stated.

Officials haven’t stated which faculties had been focused in the course of the burglaries.

Megill was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of 4 counts of housebreaking and one depend of receiving stolen property.
