Major storm brings tornado damage to northeast Texas

A robust storm system moved by way of northeast Texas Friday night, with experiences of main tornado damage to a number of elements of the area.

Beginning within the late afternoon hours, the National Weather Service issued a flurry of tornado warnings for dozens of cities and cities, particularly on the Interstate 35 hall.

Photos and movies posted to social media confirmed leveled properties and fields of particles.

Video obtained by CBS News confirmed a tornado transferring by way of Sulphur Springs, a metropolis about 80 miles east of Dallas. Several properties in Sulphur Springs have been broken, CBS Dallas reported.

Several communities north of town of Paris appeared to have been onerous hit. Cell telephone video confirmed the tornado billowing by way of the neighborhood Powderly, whereas photographs captured destroyed buildings in the neighborhood of Caviness.

The storm introduced unpredictable climate throughout East Texas. One video confirmed hail falling in Waxahachie, a metropolis simply south of Dallas, as tornado warning sirens went off within the background.

Meanwhile, autos on a highway simply south of the Texas-Oklahoma border tried to navigate drenching rain.

The extent of the damage was nonetheless unclear. There was no speedy phrase on whether or not the storm had prompted any accidents or fatalities.
