Liberal Australian mayor stabbed in suspected home invasion, suspects remain at giant: police

A liberal Australian mayor was stabbed in an alleged in a single day home invasion Monday, because the group of 5 to 6 suspects who barged into the Sydney-area home received away unscathed. 

Patrick Conolly, the 32-year-old liberal mayor of Hawkesbury Council, was stabbed in the higher left arm throughout a suspected home invasion in his Bligh Park neighborhood, close to Windsor, which is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, positioned in the state of New South Wales, in response to native authorities.

Authorities mentioned their preliminary investigation means that Conolly was not the supposed goal, and the episode may have been a case of “mistaken identity,” the Guardian reported.

Police mentioned between 5 and 6 males pressured their method inside round 12:45 a.m. native time when Conolly was home along with his spouse and 4 youngsters. 

The suspects took a number of personal objects from the home and fled the scene in the mayor’s white Skoda. 

No arrests have been introduced. Conolly was handled at the scene then transported to Westmead Hospital in a steady situation. His spouse and youngsters weren’t harmed in the incident.
