Lawsuit filed against Rogers Park apartment building where 3 women died

CHICAGO (CBS)– Families are taking authorized motion after three women have been discovered lifeless at Sneider Apartments in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood after complaints that the air-con wasn’t turned on throughout a sizzling week. 

One of the women’s households has area a wrongful loss of life lawsuit against the proprietor of the building. 

The lawsuit alleges that the building continued to function the heating system two weeks in the past, regardless of abnormally heat temperatures. 

The papers are present a path of warnings and complaints within the days beforehand from each individuals who stay there and native Alderman Maria Hadden. 

They stated she requested them about turning on the cooling system and administration didn’t agree. The cooling system was turned on the day after the girl have been discovered lifeless. 

The women who died have been 76, 68 and 72 years outdated.

Residents and kin advised CBS 2 the building was sweltering. 

“There’s been many complaints well over 90 degrees in the units in the daytime, especially when the sun’s really high and peaking through the apartments,” stated Rhondisha Harris, the granddaughter of a resident. (*3*)
