Kyle Sandilands will not be pulling any punches in Channel Seven’s upcoming reboot of Australian Idol, if a new trailer is something to go by. 

The newly-released promo reveals the shock jock, 51, delivering some harsh truths to a number of untalented hopefuls, leaving his fellow judges Amy Shark, Harry Connick Jr. and Megan Trainor in shock. 

‘No means, you are loopy. That’s a bunch of loopy,’ Kyle bluntly instructed one contestant, who gave an off-key efficiency.

He then savagely responds to a different contestant who tells him they’ve by no means sung in entrance of a crowd.  

‘Yes, that’s evident’, Kyle retorted. 

However, Kyle was impressed by one performer who gave a heartfelt rendition of Split Enz’s Message to My Girl.

Earlier this year, the outspoken star promised viewers they will not be getting a politically right Kyle when he returns to screens as a decide on the upcoming Australian Idol reboot.

‘I’m very cut-to-the-chase. Not nasty, however I’m not gonna be pretending like they’re nice. I stated, ‘If they’re s**t, they’re gonna be instructed they’re s**t. Or they’re deluded. Or they should work on this.

‘I stated I’ll be as good as I could be, however I will not be like a Voice coach. It’ll be like the cruel realities of the business aspect of the business.’

He then responds to another contestant who tells him they've never sung in front of a crowd. 'Yes, that is evident', Kyle retorted

Channel Seven first introduced plans for an Australian Idol reboot again in 2020.

At the time, the community slated the present for a 2022 launch, nevertheless it’s now going forward in 2023 as an alternative.

The reboot will mark the second time that Kyle will seem on the present, following his stint on the unique sequence from 2005 till 2009.
