July 4th fireworks are canceled in the Phoenix space. Here’s why

Phoenix has canceled its 2022 Fourth of July fireworks exhibits, citing provide chain points.

“The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department regrets to announce that its three premiere fireworks events have been canceled for 2022,” the city announced in a news release.

“Fabulous Phoenix Fourth, Light Up the Sky at the American Family Fields and After Dark in the Park will all be canceled this year due to supply chain issues affecting access to fireworks.” 

The occasions had been deliberate for Phoenix, Maryvale and Deer Valley, respectively. The  Fabulous Phoenix Fourth event has not taken place at Steele Indian School Park since 2019.

“Unfortunately, very like many different municipalities, Phoenix has been affected by the ongoing provide chain points. The metropolis’s contractor was unable to safe fireworks for the occasions,” Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Marty Whitfield said in a statement. “We apologize to our community for the inconvenience.”
