CHANNELVIEW, Texas — A 62-year-old girl was shot and killed Wednesday whereas sitting inside an SUV that was parked in entrance of a house in Channelview, deputies stated.
This occurred at about 11:30 a.m. in entrance of a house on Coolidge Street near the N Shore Drive intersection.
Deputies stated the lady, together with 4 different adults, was using in an older mannequin Ford Explorer that pulled as much as a property of duplexes for what investigators consider was one thing drug-related.
The accused gunman, who deputies stated was residing in one of many duplexes, apparently had points with the individuals contained in the SUV.
“There apparently is some bad blood between him and the person that owns that vehicle. They recognized the vehicle. They have cameras on the house. Recognized the vehicle when it pulled into the driveway and he went outside with the rifle in hand,” stated Sgt. Ben Bell with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies stated the gunman fired not less than three photographs in the SUV, hitting the 62-year-old girl in the chest. Her brother was additionally in the SUV, deputies stated. It’s unknown if he was injured.
At least two witnesses bodily held the gunman on the scene till deputies arrived.
