Horne ahead of Hoffman in Arizona schools chief race

Republican former superintendent and anti-bilingual training crusader Tom Horne gained a slight lead following Monday’s Maricopa County poll additions in the race for Arizona superintendent of public instruction.

Incumbent Democrat Kathy Hoffman stays shut behind, in keeping with new tallies. 

Hoffman was main Horne by roughly 10,000 votes till Sunday, when her lead was diminished to underneath 1,000 votes. Fewer than 6,000 votes separated the candidates on Monday night time.
