Jordan Davis’s Buy Dirt gained the honors for Song of the Year at the CMA Awards Wednesday.

‘We wrote a tune about religion and household,’ Davis mentioned, ‘and if that is not nation music I do not know what’s.’

The tune, which was penned by Davis, Jacob Davis, Josh Jenkins and Matt Jenkins, bested a subject together with Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde’s Never Wanted To Be That Girl; Morgan Wallen’s Sand In My Boots; Lainey Wilson’s Things A Man Oughta Know; and Chris Stapleton’s You Should Probably Leave.

Brothers Osborne prevailed in the class of Vocal Duo of the Year, as they had been matched up in the class towards Brooks & Dunn, Dan + Shay, LOCASH and Maddie & Tae.

The tandem’s T.J. Osborne mentioned that ‘to be in the presence of’ presenter Wynonna Judd was an honor.

‘Huge because of the CMAs,’ he added. ‘Thanks for everybody who has a bit half or an enormous half in our lives, it is an unbelievable experience, thanks for letting us be on it.’

Early winners introduced included Musical Event of the Year, which was gained by Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde for Never Wanted To Be That Girl. 

They had been nominated towards Dierks Bentley with BRELAND & HARDY’s Beers On Me; Jason Aldean & Carrie Underwood’s If I Didn’t Love You; Midland that includes Jon Pardi’s Longneck Way To Go; Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson’s Never Say Never.

Cody Johnson’s ‘Til You Can’t was named Music Video of the Year, overcoming a subject that included Pearce and McBryde’s Never Wanted To Be That Girl; Swindell’s Never Say Never; Midland’s Longneck Way To Go and Taylor Swift and Chris Stapleton’s I Bet You Think About Me” (Taylor’s Version).
