Central High School in Phoenix on lockdown

Roads round the highschool have been shut down as police reply to an incident.

PHOENIX — Central High School in Phoenix has been positioned on lockdown as officers examine a battle and “possible popping” sounds allegedly heard close by.

Phoenix Union college district stated all college students are protected and are asking dad and mom to not come to campus. 

Phoenix police say Xavier Academy and the Coding Academy are additionally on lockdown as a precaution.

Roads main into Central High could also be closed down and Valley Metro has quickly closed mild rail stations.

Phoenix police responded to a social medial risk final Thursday that triggered a lockdown at Central High School. Police detained a person in relation to that risk.
