More than two-dozen pooches have been evacuated from an Alabama doggy day care — together with some who have been taken to the roof — after the power was overcome by potential chemical fumes, according to reports.
The scary scenario unfolded Monday morning when two employees and 5 dogs at Dogs Days of Birmingham started struggling from respiratory points after a contractor not too long ago put recent sealant on a concrete ground being redone, stated a day care spokesperson.
While small dogs usually housed on the bottom ground walked out the entrance door, 13 bigger animals on the second ground have been dropped at a rooftop play space after which rescued by firefighters with the ladder truck parked subsequent to the constructing.

Four individuals and 26 dogs have been inside the middle earlier than the evacuations.
“The humans are all fine. We did take five dogs to the vets as a precaution,” stated the company spokesperson, Jay Barrett. “All were cleared and returned to their owners.”
Two staff have been handled on the scene by paramedics, however turned down a visit to the hospital, the Birmingham News reported. The employees handled dizziness and issue respiratory, the newspaper reported.
“A chemical fume mediation company has been hired to clean the building and we plan to safely reopen on Wednesday,” stated Barrett, in accordance with WBRC.
