Who Is Brittnee Dancho? Major Update in Disappearance of Maryland Woman

Maryland Police have announced that a woman who was missing was located, just days after the unconfirmed reports of her disappearance started to circulate on the internet.

Brittnee Dancho, 33, is a mother of three children, as per a brochure published on Facebook by the group Missing People in America on September 29.

Dancho who was seen with long brown hair and scrubs, disappeared in Salisbury, Maryland, on September 25. He left a note of concern in a variety of tweets from social media.

The story concerning Brittnee Dancho’s disappearance was widely circulated online.

On X, which was previously Twitter On X (formerly Twitter), a person whose name was Rose who went by the handle @901Lulu who writes about real disappearances and crimes and posted a flyer to her 50,000 followers, which states Dancho as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, 120lbs and driving in a 2021 Toyota Camry.

Rose also shared a photo of a note she claimed that was written by Dancho that says: “Please tell them I love them. Fed cat + dog. Love you all.” It also includes a number of numbers.

The alleged note has not been verified by the authorities and the flyer wasn’t created in the hands of Maryland State Police.

A spokesperson from the Maryland Department of State Police said to Newsweek by email that: “The Maryland Department of State Police did not issue any press releases or create any flyers regarding this missing persons case.”

The case still garnered attention from social media. The story of the disappearance was shared on Facebook, X, and YouTube.

Brittnee Dancho is no more missing, police say.

Missing People in America posted that Dancho was discovered on the 29th of September. The post was shared on Facebook and has received 2,500 views and the comment section was full of over 800 posts celebrating Dancho’s safe return.

Contacted via phone, a representative of Maryland Police confirmed to Newsweek that Dancho was found alive and well across state lines in Virginia.

But, the spokesperson of the department said to Newsweek that they were not involved on the “Missing People” in America’s postings about Dancho.

“The Maryland Department of State Police do work with outside organizations to help spread the word however, it is my understanding, that we did not contact nor did this organization contact us for information regarding this particular case,” they added.

Missing People in America is an organization that is independent. The page on Facebook states “Leveraging technology, our mission is to reunite missing individuals with their loved ones and advocate to combat the pervasive issue of disappearances.”

They have been contacted to comments through the Facebook pages.

According to the Maryland State Police told Newsweek that there aren’t any people that are of interest in the investigation and that the investigation has been closed.
